This state or mode can be used when On Air to cue out and edit prepared subtitles when using the Live Scroll, Cued Block, Scrolling Block or Live Scrolling Block, Cued Block Live transmission mode.
To use Cue State, you can use the button on the Standard Toolbar
Or you can use the keyboard shortcut 'F8'. The button and the shortcut are both toggles, and toggling out of Cue State will return to Edit mode.
When Q-Live is in Cue State the icon will look like this:
and the file tab will go red. You can now cue and clear prepared subtitles as 'block' subtitles. You can move to Live mode from Cue mode, and Q-Live will insert a blank subtitle with the focus ready for Live input. To move back to Cue State from Live mode, press or F8.
Raising a subtitle to the default raised position using Numpad Enter will change the subtitle on air immediately and the raised position will continue to be maintained until changed.
Changing the colour of the subtitle will take effect with the next subtitle cued and will continue to be maintained until changed.
This is the same behaviour as the colour and vertical position overrides for cued subtitles in Block, Live Scroll, Cued Block or Live Scrolling Block, Cued Block mode.
If a subtitle has been cued out in Cue State (F8) and Live (F9) Mode is selected, the subtitle will NOT be cleared from transmission unless Clear current subtitle when the working mode changes option is ticked
If text has been transmitted in Live (F9) mode and is on screen then switching and Cue State (F8) is selected then the behaviour will be the same as switching from Cue State (F8) to Live Mode (F9) and the subtitle will be cleared from air if Clear current subtitle when the working mode changes option is ticked.
If Clear current subtitle when the working mode changes option is ticked then changing the mode/state will immediately clear the subtitle from screen.
If Clear current subtitle by reading rate option is ticked and Clear current subtitle when the working mode changes option is NOT ticked then the subtitle will be cleared from air when the reading rate has been exceeded.
